About Paty

I’m a mother of four amazing souls, two whom I carried and birthed nine years apart. Each of those births changed me in ways words can barely touch.

My first birth came naturally, raw and powerful. I was in awe of how my body knew exactly what to do — when to breathe, when to rest, when to bring life forward. Though I experienced pain and trauma from an unnecessary intervention, it also opened my eyes to something beautiful: the incredible strength that lives within us, and the deep need for gentle, informed care.

My second birth was slower, softer. I had a midwife who moved with me, who saw me, who honored the sacred rhythm of birth. I chose an epidural that time, and yet — it was still divine. It taught me that there is no one “right” way to birth. Each journey is its own song — beautiful, powerful, and deeply personal.

I spent 25 years as a teacher, guiding high school Spanish students and helping young adults in Major League Baseball learn English. Teaching taught me to listen deeply, to nurture curiosity, and to honor every person’s unique path. Those same gifts now shape how I serve as a doula — with empathy, patience, and a heart wide open.

Becoming a doula is not just a career for me; it’s a homecoming. It’s the dream I carried since girlhood — a dream to walk beside women and families as they step into the sacred space of birth.

As your doula, I will hold space for you — with tenderness, strength, and respect. I will advocate for your voice to be heard, your body to be honored, and your family to be supported. Together, we’ll prepare for birth through movement, mindfulness, and trust — building the mindset and confidence that help you lean into your own power.

My hope is that you feel seen, supported, and safe. That your birth — no matter how it unfolds — reflects the beauty, wisdom, and love that have always been within you.

My Commitment

Supporting families through birth and postpartum is one of the greatest honors of my life. Each time I am invited into a birth space, I recognize the deep trust it takes to welcome someone into such an intimate, raw, and personal moment. It is sacred work — a place where strength and surrender intertwine, and where love expands in ways words can hardly hold.

As a doula, I walk beside families with compassion, respect, and deep reverence for the power of birth. I understand that every birth story is unique, and every family carries its own rhythm, wisdom, and dreams.

My commitment is to hold that space with gentleness and grace — to protect your peace, nurture your confidence, and honor the beauty of your unfolding story. Whether through the intensity of labor or the tender stillness of postpartum, I am humbled and grateful to walk with you on this journey.

Birth is sacred. It transforms not only how you see your baby, but how you see yourself.

As your doula, I walk beside you—offering steady hands, calm presence, and evidence-based guidance every step of the way. Research shows that continuous, compassionate support can shorten labor, reduce interventions, and create a more positive birth experience.

My role is to help you feel safe, confident, and supported, so you can welcome your baby with trust and love—no matter how your birth unfolds. And when the baby arrives, my care continues into the postpartum season—nurturing your healing, your rest, and your new rhythm as a family.
